Sweet Gracie

I wanted to share with you all a cute picture my cousin took of her new baby girl, Gracelyn Kaye. Could she get any sweeter? I knit a little pea pod sack and matching hat for her newborn pictures. These are perfect for a little newborn, nice and soft and very easy to get them in and out and put them in cute poses.

New babies = Lots of fun hats!

I've been so busy welcoming new babies and knitting hats for all their little noggins. There were 2 little girls born last week alone! I wanted to share with you the cute hat I made for my friend Stacie's little one. Her husband is a die hard Harley Davidson rider and every year I look forward to seeing there Christmas card featuring the fat boy. I created a special hat for their little one set to arrive in November. We don't know the sex so I made this one with a detachable flower. I can't wait to see it on.
I am starting on a set for my boys in U of M colors, perfect for fall football games!

Slouch hat and the Easter Vest

For my nephew's 15th birthday I made a "trendy" slouch hat for him. I thought it turned out really well, and the teenager was happy, job well done. I'll be sure to get more shots of this one, but for now this will have to do. Gotta love teenage boys and all their weirdness!

Here are a few shots of O in his Easter Vest. I still can't believe how well it fit him! He put up quite the fuss, kicking, screaming and crying when I first put it on, but after a few minutes, chocolate and Monsters Inc. he forgot he even had it on. Of course he was in no mood to pose for the camera, but you get the idea.

Newbie Beanie

I was wandering through the yarn store last week and came across this beautiful yarn. I couldn't take my eyes off it. I had no idea what to make with this, I just new I had to have it! I have never started a project without knowing what it would become, this was half way done before it came to me. I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to see this on top of a brand new baby's head. It's so soft and a wonderful mix of thick and thin out of 100% cotton, perfect to bring home your spring and summer bundle of joy. The colors are to die for, green, blue and grey! I will be back to the store this week to stock up on pinks and yellows!
